Debiso Best built the Makers and Leaders Lab as a community fab lab: a real workshop where STEAM stops being a subject and becomes a way of building. Creators and educators of every level work side by side with mentors, using real tools, on real projects solving real problems and shipping things that work.

Every track runs on the same tools working makers use 3D printers, laser cutters, electronics benches with genuine rigor at whatever level you're starting from.

Mentorship Built In
Every member is paired with a mentor a working maker, educator, or advanced peer and anyone ready to lead can mentor others through the Leadership Track.

Makers and Leaders is built for anyone who wants to build, not just students on a K-college track or working professionals. Members get a mentor, a bench, and a clear path through real fab lab projects inside the Lab Studio LMS, at their own pace. Fellow educators get the Makers and Leaders Educator Path a way to bring this same hands-on, mentorship-driven model into their own classroom, library, or community space.
The platform is part of the community
The Lab Studio LMS and vrirtual community were built by Debiso Best specifically for this community not bought off the shelf. That means the platform evolves with the fab lab, not the other way around.
